aim4art is a voluntary community arts group, formed in 2009, dedicated to pushing our personal artistic boundaries. We aim to paint, aim to draw, aim to create art. We meet every Tuesday (10am-4pm) at The Barn, Hemlington, Middlesbrough, TS8 9DA. We have no regular tutor, but support each other and organise a programme of visits and workshops.

This year aim4art celebrate our 15th anniversary. We start the year with a relaunch of our 'All About Art' exhibition at the Heritage Gallery, a venue of which we are particularly fond.

Most of the pictures in our exhibition at the Heritage Gallery also featured in our recent display at Kirkleatham Museum. However, there are some fresh pictures to see, such as Rob's pastel drawing of the recently demolished blast furnace at Redcar.

Worth A Look:

The Leven Art Society has recently created a Facebook group where members can post their work. The Cleveland Art Society's Facebook group is also very active. Should we make more use of Facebook?

Visit our Gallery page to see albums of work, both by the group and by individual members. It includes work from our 2021 'Artists from The Barn' Exhibition at the Heritage Gallery and most of our earlier exhibitions.

One of our more recent additions is Gill Place's lovely collection of work resulting from her sketch-a-day challenge, completed in 2021. These snowdrops are an example.
